Queen Mary Falls Caravan Park
We’re on a 4wd adventure in the Scenic Rim with some of the boys from ARB. There are 14 River crossings along the Condamine River and if you make the climb high into the ranges to Queen Mary Falls, you’ll be treated to spectacular views and a cooler vibe all around.
A favourite for locals and visitors, the Amazing Queen Mary Falls is just above the Cambooya Valley a few hours drive from Brisbane. If you are planning on taking on the drive down from Brisbane, there are a number of beautiful waterfalls in which you can stop off at between Boonah to Mount Tamborine.
A Picturesque Drive
The drive down to the Queen Mary Falls is a favourite for many locals and visitors. The windy scenic mountain roads take you along the QLD/ NSW border, through the lush green meadows of Killarney and all the way to Spring Creek Falls. Beginning at Boonah, take the Boonah-Rathdowney Road south toward Carneys Creek. Make sure to keep an eye out for Minto Crag on your right before the Head Road turnoff.
Here you’ll see the Teviot Falls, with the twin falls on your right, you’ll find the best views as you approach the top of the range. There is also a small walking track which leads you to the waterfalls from the car park near the cattle grid.
The next lookout along the drive would be Carr’s lookout. With beautiful views over the Condamine River, it offers a great spot to rest and stop at. Once you’ve visited Carr’s point, travel along Spring Creek Rd until you reach Queen Mary Falls. These falls offer beautiful rainforest walks where you can either enjoy the Cliff Walk, or the Queen Mary Falls Circuit.
At the falls you’ll also find a picnic area with tables, tap water, toilets and BBQ and a lovely cafe opposite the park. A perfect spot to stop and grab a bite to eat.
Queen Mary Falls Caravan Park
The Queen Mary Falls Caravan Park has lush green sites and a welcoming committee of King Parrots will have you smiling the minute you arrive. Relax in your cabin or caravan in this natural bush setting or explore around everything Queen Mary Falls has to offer.
The Caravan park offers Powered and unpowered caravan and camping sites across their property. With a maximum of 6 people per site, you can enjoy this pet-friendly park which has so much to offer. Onsite you’ll find a camp kitchen, a local store, along with amenities within the park which are clean and modern.
The real drawcard for the caravan park though, is a short stroll away, past the day-use facilities and up the well worth climb to see the spectacular views it offers.
