Evans Head

Evans Head’s claim to fame is due to legendary big waves surfer Gary Elkerton. Located South East of Broadwater in New South Wales, Evans Head is a charmingly relaxed town wedged between a river mouth and a beach. The calm waters of the estuary provides ideal conditions for kayaking, canoeing and even stand up paddleboarding. The long rock walls at the moth out the river also offer a great place for casting a line in.

Aside from Gary Elkerton, Evans Head’s other claim to fame is thanks to the Refections Holiday Caravan park. With accommodation options from cabins to camp areas, to powered and non-powered sites, there’s something fit for everyone at this beautiful sleepy town holiday park.
