Boyne Valley Country Music Campout – Ubobo
Looking for a Country Music Festival that’s like no other and in a location, you’ve most likely never heard of? Then save the date for the next Ubobo Boyne Valley Country Music Campout. The aim of the weekend is pretty simple, to get local country music fans together with predominantly local artists to enjoy the music and have a good time! Food vans, plenty of space to park the van and a crowd that’s warm and friendly.
What Does The Boyne Valley Country Music Campout Have To Offer?
This not for profit family event officially commences on the 03 of April until the 5th of April, 2020. Starting at 6 pm on the Friday night, the event begins with a campfire concert featuring Central Queensland and visiting artists. Located at the Ubobo Discovery centre, this event will be running for its 9th consecutive year. Originally started by a couple interested in a weekend away with mates, the Boyne Valley Music Campout has grown exponentially since it’s first year in 2012.
The Boyne Valley Country Music Campout is really an amazing event to bring your friends and enjoy some music. If you’re interested in booking a campsite, you can do that through the Discovery Centre, Ubobo. As the campsite bookings are a first in the best-dressed type system, you’ve got to get in quick to score a powered site on the land. The Discovery Centre also offers several disability access sites which you can also book online.
From Golden Guitar Winners to Open Mic Sessions, there is something for everyone here. Participants at the show are more than welcome join in on Open Mic by performing on their own or the can back you. Listen to Country music artists, guest poets, Sing a song at open mic or buy a ticket to go in the Raffle. If you haven’t brought enough food for the weekend, the event is set up with several food trucks and stall around the event for all your cravings.

Where Is Ubobo & How To Get There?
Located centrally in the middle of Ubobo, the Discovery Centre is an easy hours drive from Gladstone, Monto, Kroombit Tops, Agnes Waters. The Discovery Centre is also located right on the doorstep of Lake Awoonga, in central Queensland. A rural community with small townships including Nagoorin, Ubobo, Builyan and Many peaks dot along the Boyne River in this beautifully scenic valley.
Known for its Beef and sawmilling, dairying, irrigated crops and mining also contribute to its economy. There are 7 ways to get from somewhere like Brisbane to Ubobo, including train, bus, car, plane or taxi.
